In pig farming, the questions put to the veterinarian are not only of a sanitary nature. In this type of farming, where productivity and profitability are constantly being measured, figures are plentiful and come from multiple sources. The few examples presented in this article show how they can be a real working tool for the practitioner in monitoring the health programs in place or in his diagnostic approach. If these figures can be a daily constraint, they can also become the springboard for a new type of partnership between the breeder and his veterinarian.
