Résumé
Diagnosis on poultry farms is always done on a flock scale. To do so, one should synthetise all the individual and flock data from the physical and post-mortem examinations and take on only the most relevant data. Further examinations are really frequent (bacteriology, histology, serology). Metaphylaxis is the only way to treat apoultry flock. Treatments are mostly administrated using drinking watere. Others means of administrations are reserved for some particular situations (species, physiological stages). Water physicochemical properties must be considered along with solution properties of administered drugs. Following the identification of regular health issues, preventive measures have to be implemented. Control programs are primarily elaborated at the scale of a production organisation, that is to say for a group of farmers, by taking into accountoverall characteristics and sanitary history within the organisation. When a “failure” of the prevention plan is suspected, its contents should be re-evaluated on a individual basen according to its specific epidemiological context.
